4th November, Bristol, UK -- Next Generation Security US, which took place from 19th - 21st July at Barton Creek Resort & Spa, Texas, provided leading executives with the framework to establish strong business relationships, which will see the start of many innovative and exciting new ventures.

The summit saw CIOs and CISOs from companies across the US meet to discuss objectives such as protecting their business against cybercrime and other security threats. Speakers included leading industry professionals such as Chris Christiansen, Program VP Security Products & Services, IDC Insights; Asif Effendi, Global IT Security, Risk & Compliance Manager, Kodak; and Jerry Archer, SVP & Chief Security Officer, Sallie Mae. Leading companies including Websense, Assure Technologies, and Venafi sponsored the event.

Leading executives had ample opportunity to network with peers. Bruce Jones of Kodak, said of the event, "The Next Generation Security event has met and exceeded all of my expectations of what a conference and a summit should be."

As well as comprehensive workshops, the summit involved panel discussions offering executives moderated, peer-led discussions on major industry issues. One-to-one meetings gave delegates the chance to meet with business analysts and analyst partners to discuss ongoing change in information security and the impact of disruptive technology.

A total of 15 workshops covered a range of exciting and pressing issues for the rapidly evolving world of security. Topics included identifying key risk factors, application security trends, best practices for authentication, leveraging social media platforms with minimum risk, and much more.
